Grunting and Stretching

Yes, Vivian's new hobbies include lots of funny grunting sounds, as well as very dramatic stretching after a nap which invlolves yawning, grunting, and arching her back dramatically while you are holding her. Who knows, she may be an actress one day..

I feel somewhat guilty because she just started getting "baby acne" and I'm not sure what to do about it. She had a totally clear face until a few days ago and now it has little red spots all over it. We tried changing to a hypoallergenic formula, but have not see much of a change yet in her skin as of yet. After going deep in the online abyss, it looks like baby acne is a common occurance for a lot of newborns which occurs 2-3 week after birth. Somthing to do with breastfeeding and mom's hormones. This is the part they don't tell you on the lactation class, huh? Oh well, guess we'll have to photoshop her next photoshoot.

Other than that, Vivian has been her usual sweet self, with limited crying and only getting up a couple of time in the night. She is also getting more alert every day, which is very exciting..

By the looks of the pics, she spent a lot of time with Daddy the past few days, maybe that's why her onesie in the pic says, "Daddy's Girl."
